Coffee at The Breakfast Club, Soho

Take a stroll down D’Arblay Street on a Saturday or Sunday morning and even in the pouring rain you’re likely to find a queue outside this cosy Soho café.

The original branch (there are now four in London) is as quirky and loveable as when it first opened in 2005, with random sketches and photos pinned to the walls and laid-back, friendly staff keeping everyone happy.

They serve good coffee and the smoothies work wonders on a hangover, but it’s the fantastic brunch menu that keeps us coming back.

With everything from breakfast burritos to eggs Benedict on offer, these guys are big on choice and even bigger on portions.

A classic full English, or a crusty roll stuffed with bacon, sausage and egg won’t disappoint, but the delicious combinations of chorizo, mushrooms and hash browns or pancakes piled high with berries, maple syrup and vanilla cream, will really make your mouth water.

Don’t be afraid to try some of the more unusual concoctions either – the bacon and banana French toast, for example, is fab.
